I was checking my wall posts when I saw that there are many posts in my wall from various applications that I don't use any more and was annoyed
that they were still showing on my wall and occupying space which could have been occupied by some relevant application post.
So I thought of removing them and was soon successful.
So I thought of sharing this information with you all. You all must be knowing this already.
But for those who don't know and want to get rid of annoying post here is the way.
1. Take your mouse pointer on the post which will show a cross button at the top left of post as shown in the pic below
2. Now press the cross button and the post will be gone replacing it by this block with following buttons
now you will have option for either hiding all the post from the user(1st button) who posted or from the application (2nd button) or mark the post as spam(3) or cancel the whole process(4 button).
3. Now if you want to hide application than choose hide "application name"(2nd button). After doing so following screen will come up.
4. Dont worry if you have mistakenly removed the wrong post immediately click on the edit new feed options
and get back your application from the list diplayed.
Also there is another method for directly blocking the application which you have already authorized to put post on your wall. For that you need to go to your profile on facebook.
b. than you have to click on the settings button available below the "whats on your mind" box.
c. After this you will find "application settings page." in the last under the heading application settings.
d. On clicking it you will be diplayed a list of all the applications that you have used recently.
e. You can get the list of all the applications you have authorised by using the drop down menu.
f. Now you can remove any application you want.
I hope this information is useful.
